interview with frosted pink weddings:
1. How did you come up with your inspiration board?
Our inspiration board was a collaboration of ideas after we were told our chosen color for our vignette. When we thought of the color "blush" we thought of vintage, soft, regal classic pieces. We did our main research off of the color choice and picked out images that we though would best fit the beauty of the color itself and show off it's best attributes. After coming up with a concept in our head, the pieces just fell in place while researching. This inspiration board was made to show off the details in our concept by using images that best described them, and then we designed the actual vignette off of those concepts.
2. What was your favorite part of your vignette?
Our favorite part of our vignette was probably the backdrop. The amazing Aspen tree panels, by Design Works, were made especially for this event. They were vibrant, exciting and eye-catching all at the same time remaining soft and elegant. Of course, the vintage white furniture was a key part of our design as well. The delicate florals, eclectic table ware and textured fabrics really sent them into another dimension. Not to mention, the Vera Wang blush wedding gown adorned with crystal jewels really rounded out this vignette with a realistic feel.
3. How could this vignette translate to a bride's wedding?
Our vignette could translate to a brides wedding by using our key elements all throughout her space. Every aspect of our vignette could be transformed into a different area as well. For example, the tall Aspen panels for the backdrop can be used to boarder an entire space or even as a smaller backdrop behind the couple during the ceremony. The lounge furniture was so versatile that we can take pieces for the relaxation aspect for the guests as well as using them to house certain things for the event itself, like a guestbook area. We imagined our vignette as if it was a small glimpse of an actual wedding, and we were thrilled on how it presented itself.
4. Describe your vignette in three words. Classic, soft and regal.
5. Given the constraints of space your vignette was only a piece of a wedding, name one other element you would add if you weren't limited by space or budget?
Can you imagine a Ceremony space used within the concept of this vignette?! If able, we would use tons of these classic features within a dim, romantic, fresh ceremony setting using all the details within our vignette and incorporating white Chaivair chairs, scattered candles, an abundance of soft florals and of course the amazing Aspen panels as a backdrop to finish off the space.
6. What is the theme song for your vignette?
"Maybe you'll be there" By Diana Krall
7. Aside from Mile High Station, name one location in Colorado where you would love to execute a wedding with your vignette's style?
If we could style our vignette in a Colorado venue, we would absolutely choose the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Beaver Creek, Colorado. The clean lines, sultry lighting and modern touches in a mountain setting at this venue is very rare. It can be transformed very elegantly with the soft, vintage details we came up with in our vignette. For a snowy, winter wedding, the floor to ceiling windows would bring nature into our warm space by using the same color tones. This would surely be an event out of the ordinary.
